Artist Statement
 
I have always appreciated the beautiful things nature has provided. I absolutely love hiking and site seeing.  Once I became an empty nester,  I decided to do something just for me. I had three very active sons. Most of my time was spent at baseball diamonds and hockey rinks. My eldest was killed by a drunk driver. I used painting as an escape from this extremely difficult time.  My husband, Jim, and I began traveling extensively throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. From these trips I have taken hundreds of photographs, which I use as my inspiration for my paintings.  I hope my work will inspire and bring joy to those who come to view my work.
